  1. As I noted earlier, I grew up in South Dakota, home of Black Elk. In fact I am friends with some of his living descendents on the Pine Ridge Reservation who proudly bear his name. Black Elk was man whose vision and understanding far exceeded that of our country's leaders during his time. Yes indeed, a manly man.

    I am loving this prompt, 'cuz I am married to a manly guy too!


  2. Dear McGuffy Ann, . . . Black Elk's wisdom continues to touch our lives through postings like this. He knew so well the meaning of Oneness and its being.

    I'm glad to read your earlier post telling all of us that you are better and that the surgery went well and that you are recuperating. Take care of yourself and be gracious to yourself as you deal with the need for rest.
