Mark Twain & Cats

“When a man loves cats,
I am his friend and comrade,
without further introduction.”
                             Mark Twain
“I simply can’t resist a cat,
particularly a purring one.
They are the cleanest, cunningest,
and most intelligent things I know,
outside of the girl you love, of course.”
                                    ~Mark Twain

I am sharing one of my favourite authors,
a wise and wonderful American who
told great stories and also loved cats!

  1. Twain also liked to play billiards, including with his young friends. The rule was, if a kitten was asleep in one of the pockets, that one was off limits, which made for very interesting games!

  2. I love this post! Mr. Twain was a very wise man.

Sorry I haven't been around much lately, it is the cats I use for an excuse. We have our last spay/neuter event of the year coming up this week and once it is over maybe I can get back to blogging, at least for the rest of the year.
