Christmas Guest

A snow storm raged outside, but for Faith, it was just another Christmas Eve alone.

As she prepared her meager supper, she suddenly heard frantic scratching. When she opened the door, an old thin cat rushed in, ice crystals clinging to his long silver fur.

Sitting near the warmth of the fireplace, Faith shared her supper with the hungry cat. Afterwards, as she stroked the old cat in her lap, Faith gave thanks for the gift of her Christmas guest.

  1. From one cat lover to another I loved it. Not only do I sensed both of them her alone, both of them have been abandoned for a long time and are grateful for each other's company. Well done.

Only one question: IF FAITH IS ALONE, THEN WHO IS ESTHER ???

  3. That is the best Christmas story I have read in a long time. Animals do have a way of changing our lives and lifting our spirits. Bob was a beautiful cat and I know how loving Maine Coons can be.

    Merry Christmas!

  4. that would be such a great Christmas gift! I have my fire all ready and it's toasty warm. And since hubby is working I am sitting by it alone tonight AND we are having terrible ice storms up here in Ontario.
    Have a very Merry Christmas!
