  1. I didn't see your link at 6WS yet, catching it on my blog roll! I went to visit my daddy, and my girlfriend's parents yesterday at our Fort Snelling National Cemetery. It's a lovely place.

  2. This is a wonderful and special place. May visit here this weekend for the changing of the guard ceremony, it is always such a moving event and one never tires of being witness to it. My father-in-law lays to rest here; along with two friends from the VietNam war, alongside too many others … too many who have fallen, fallen for us.

  3. Amen, too. Stella is a pretty dog and really like the name. I suspect Stella and Fergus would get along just fine. Fergus will be a year old on 6/26. He was born the day after Willie, my black lab mix, crossed the rainbow bridge. He was 13 and had been suffering from hip problems for a long time. I'm glad to have Fergus, but he sure is a busy boy! 🙂

  4. I wish them safety and a ticket home. This has lasted far too long.

I honor each who have served, are serving and will serve.

    Thank you for your tribute.

  5. When I was a senior in high school we took a trip to Washington DC and got to see the changing of the guard at the Tome of the Unknown Solider. It was one of those moments I will never forget.

The kittens are my first two fosters of the year. I usually take the ones that have some sort of problem, like URI, and need medications or maybe some special attention. They will be going back to the shelter next month to be spayed and put on the adopt floor. These two will have new homes very quickly.
