Sparks: 16

Sparks: 16

When I began blogging, it was my intent to post an inspirational thought each Monday. It would be my weekly meditation, and perhaps feed another’s spirit as well. I am inspired by the positive energy of my peers.

The negative energy in the world has become thick and oppressive. Social media has become a part of this dark, negative storm. There is an obvious universal need for more positive energy. And, we can all be part of this affirmative change.

I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!

I hope you will join us. Please link up a positive quote, thought, poem, or verse.  Remember to add the Sparks badge to your post to invite others. The more, the merrier. Peace.

    • I think the key is to just look. Once you make up your mind that you want to be happy, you start looking for things that accentuate that. Those things are there! And, that is where you find your happiness. Hugs.

    • The link up is different; the code is different. WordPress blogs do not have Javascript; only the business blogs have it. So, the code has to be different, also altering the look of it. I hope no one minds and will stay with Sparks. I tried to make it look easy to use. It works essentially the same. I added you! HUGS.

  1. Annie,

Welcome to the world of WordPress! 😉 Your new home is looking good! It’ll take a little time to get everything the way you want, so have fun with it! WOW, we all needed this boost of encouragement! 🙂 Our weekend was mild so I don’t have any complaints. I savored every minute of it because I know it won’t hang around forever. After today things will slip back into the 40s for the high. I know that’s warmer than most places up north and cooler than folks who live in Florida. Now you see why I love it here so much. Not too hot and not too cold; we’re just right! 🙂 Thanks for hosting. Anyone wishing to check out today “Sparks”, clickHERE. Have fun settling into your new blog home, my friend! 😉

    • Cathy, it is taking some getting used to. Some features I am finding that I really like. But, I must admit, some are really confusing, like copy and paste from Word to blog post draft. And this link-up terrorized me. No Javascript for personal blogs? So, I finally figured out that I had to use a different code. It should be fine, now. *Good grief* Did you link?

  2. OOPS I forgot to say in my comment how much your SPARK “speaks to me”……I feel like there’s always a little corner of sunshine even on the darkest of days if we just LOOK for it. If we’re lucky we can carry the spirit of “invincible summer” with us year round.

    Love, Pam

  3. Annie, I am happy you have this figured out so we can link up. I am sorry that I steered you wrong while thinking you were with Bad friend! Your Spark is perfect. I will be reminding myself of this everyday for the remainder of winter, as the constant dreariness tends to get me down. Sending lots of love, prayers and hugs, Janet

    • Oh my gosh…I kept being told that it should work, to use the one code. But, WordPress personal blogs do not support Javascript. So, my old Blogger linkys are not viable, probably. Nevertheless, there is a code. There is the Summer in this. I keep learning. That is a good thing. Thank you for being there! HUGS!

  5. We’re having a mild weekend but expecting some freezing rain for tomorrow. I’ll try to find that spark of invincible summer in me. One good thing, there are no flies or mosquitos.
I love your new look. Have a great week. Hugs, Julia

  9. I’m joining you at Sparks for the first time today, I love the whole concept! ❤ Your photo quote is so powerful, a reminder that we have the strength and determination within us to persevere and endure anything, believing that better days will come!

    • Josie, I have learned to garner good from everything that I experience. There are unpleasant, even hurtful, situations in life. But, we are meant to learn from the bad, too. Perhaps the deeper lessons are there. What does not kill me makes me stronger. We need to value the good days; sometimes they are precious and few. It is then that we visit that Summer within us. Welcome to Sparks!
