Joined in spirit, we are all sisters.
Roads walked before cause unseen blisters.
Burdens and heartache cause perpetual pain;
battles hard fought leave scars that remain.
We walk the same roads of sisters before,
our reason, our purpose, too strong to ignore.
Tears left behind; shame washed away.
our future begins with steps taken today.

To all women everywhere,
in honour of those who paved our way
and those who will follow in our footsteps.
Let’s celebrate International Women’s Day,
the women in our lives, and each other.

  1. Beautiful words, soul sister! And thanks for adding my friend to your prayer list. As of last night he posted on FB that he didn’t want to read too much into it but was feeling marginally better! I think he meant he didn’t know if it would last, but am not sure he has faith, either. Perhaps he will find some in the face of this. We can hope.

    Writing in my journal this morning about him I realized that coincidental has a root in ‘coincide’ probably. And I find that interesting since the latter indicates a parallel while the former equals happenstance. What do you think, my fellow language fan?

    You are in my thoughts and prayers. ~hug~ I look forward to reading the fill-ins tomorrow!
