Friendly Fill-ins: Week 99

We are happy you are here for another week of friendly sharing! As always, you can find the fill-ins here and at each Thursday. On Fridays, we post the link for sharing. Please link your post as directed. You can answer in the comments if you need to. Try to visit other blogs, if possible.

The last couple of weeks have been pretty rough. Chloe Jo is struggling with this latest set of issues. She lost a considerable amount of weight because she did not want to eat. We seem to have finally got her going on some foods that the vet has recommended. Chloe Jo has always been a good eater. So, for her not to eat, that is a serious red flag. She has a follow-up appointment in a few days. Thank you for all of your prayers for her, and those for me, too.

Whether you are participating in the A-Z Blogging Challenge or just reading it in your Feed, may you enjoy it! Those who do it put a lot of work into it. It is fun to see what others share each day. You can always learn something new, be inspired, and find out more about each blogger.

Happy Easter to those who celebrate. Alleluia. This is the most important Christian holiday, fulfilling Biblical prophecies. We also wish a Pesach Sameach (Happy Passover) to those who observe this very important Jewish holiday.

Have a wonderful weekend. Stay safe, happy, and healthy.

Here are my completed fill-ins:

1. For Easter, I like to go to the very earliest Mass. I love the story of Mary finding the tomb empty. I can only imagine how she felt to witness that miracle. It is still very exciting. This painting is a favourite of mine. It looks like Chloe Jo; waiting.

2. My favorite Easter treat is watching Godspell. This is my favourite musical and has been since it first played in 1970. Based on the Gospel of Matthew, the original musical was produced to bring the Message of Christ to contemporary society. To make it relevant, they presented the story of Christ in a way that youth could relate to. For those reasons, I think God approved. Later versions are not as pure or as true as the original.

3. Lately, the song “Day by Day” is stuck in my head. As humans, we seek meaning and purpose in life. We find it when we seek God with a true heart of hope and faith.

4. The A-Z Blogging Challenge starts on Sunday, April 1st. It is most definitely a challenge. I am always humbled and impressed at the creative ways others present their A-Z list. I am always pleased to be able to complete it!

  1. Happy Good Friday! Easter is almost here and that little painting you shared of the cat by the stone which has been rolled away is just precious….as are your other graphics AS ALWAYS! We hope the new food for Chloe Jo will give her strength and proper nourishment so she loses no more weight….and so she can feel better. We’re sending POTP (!) to both you AND Chloe Jo. Teddy and I hope that you, Bill and your whole family have a beautiful Easter celebration with a breath of Spring and a renewed spirit. I somehow always think of Easter as a “starting over” for everyone who believes.

    Hugs, Pam and Teddy

  2. Godspell was one of my favorites growing up, and i saw it on stage in London. Between acts, they invited the audience to come up and talk to the cast, who shared the Gospel message. Day by Day is a beautiful song to have stuck in your head.

Hope you are having a blessed Good Friday and that Chloe Jo feels better soon.

  3. Hari OM
CJ and yourself remain on my POTP daily. We can feel so helpless when our furkids are suffering…
FOR EASTER I love to reflect on my relationship with Yeshu and how He has so very much guided me – even to Vedanta!
FAVE EASTER TREAT is to watch ‘The Greatest Story Ever Told’
LATELY THE SONG(s) “Shri Ram Bhajans” are stuck in my head – for the same reasons you gave! Last Sunday was His feast day and it is at His feet that Yeshu placed me…
THE A-Z BLOGGING CHALLENGE this year is to be my first time at it – by your instigation! Good luck with yours! Ready. Set. Go.
    Much Love, YAM xx

  4. I continue to pray for your sweet Chloe. It has to be so difficult to see her struggling but I know you are doing everything in your power to make sure she is okay. Love your answers and the picture is lovely. I hadn’t thought about Godspell for ages. I hope to watch Jesus Christ Superstar on tv on Sunday —I think it will be a neat production. I have great memories of my dad blasting it on the stereo. Happy Easter, My friend!

It is great, and I love the song, “Day By Day. ” Songs in stuck in my head too, Elton John’s “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me,” has been stuck in my on and off for weeks. In fact I have a “What song is in your head today?” on my sidebar. Maybe, Day By Day will gets stuck today. Thanks for a great post. 🙂

  7. I love that painting, it’s not one I’ve seen before! Seeing the Godspell cover brought back wonderful memories of when it premiered! It was amazing and brought new Light to so many by reaching them in a way they could relate to. “Day by Day” will now be playing in my head for the rest of the day, and I can’t think of a better earworm for this weekend. XOXO Have a blessed Easter, Annie.

  8. What a fabulous post, Annie. Still praying for little Chloe Jo and you. Love the idea of that A-Z challenge but I know it’s not something I can keep up with right now. So, I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s entries. I wish you and yours a very blessed Easter weekend. Love all of your fill-ins. I’m especially in love with the kitty at the tomb and the flower kitties! 😁😻💕

  9. I am sorry to hear things are not better for Chloe Jo. Great answers, and I like the cat alphabet… of course we could write about our cats for ever and still would not be finished…
    Have a good Easter!

  10. While dealing with Raven’s hyperthyroid treatment, I’ve lost track of my blogging friends. I’m sorry to hear that Chloe Jo is having such a difficult time right now. Two of my kitties had lymphoma, and went through different chemotherapy protocols (Felix had pred & chlorambucil). I hope the chemo works for Chloe Jo, or at least slows things down and she becomes stable again. You and your vet team have had to juggle a lot of balls with her. Purrs for her health to improve and that she’s happy & comfortable.

  11. Such excellent completions, Annie. I absolutely love the song, “Day by Day,” though, I have never seen the movie Godspell. I am really looking forward to the live performance of Jesus Christ Superstar on CBS on Sunday. The A to Z chart made up of kitties is super cute as are the spring “flowers.” Praying constantly for you, Chloe Jo, Maggie and Clyde. Keep me posted on how you all are doing. Happy Easter. I love you, Janet
