Friendly Fill-ins: Week 103

We are happy you are here for another week of friendly sharing! As always, you can find the fill-ins here and at 15andmeowing.com each Thursday. On Fridays, we post the link for sharing. Please link your post as directed. Try to visit other blogs, if possible. And, have fun!

Well, we are at the end of April. If the weather holds out, we will be Spring cleaning out in the yard this weekend. Last week we had two ice storms bringing over 4” of snow and ice. Next week is supposed to get up to 80°.

I am so proud that all of our furkids are so good with each other and with all of our rescues, too. We are blessed. Bee and Clyde are kept busy with Stormie. But, she interacts with everyone. She is fierce.

Chloe Jo is not doing as well as we had hoped. She has days where she just sleeps. Other days, she is restless and unhappy. Sometimes she wants to be held but is in pain. I have always been able to fix her problems, but I cannot fix this. It wrecks me.

We will be at a John Prine concert tonight. We are both very excited. He just released his new album last week. The Tree of Forgiveness is exceptional. John Prine is truly one of the greats.

Please join us for Sparks on Monday. The positive energy there will carry you all week. I know, because it has really been helpful to me. Share what helps you. Namaste.

We hope you have a wonderful weekend. Enjoy it with your loved ones. Here are my completed fill-ins:

I could really use another day in the week. I would schedule it with things that escape me the other seven days. But, as Grampy used to say, that day would fill up, too. Life is for living. And, so we do.

2. A small, local organization is a charity that I like to support. I like to see donations go to the community where I live. Charity begins at home, as the proverb states. It does not make a lot of sense to give to distant charities if we are neglecting our direct neighbors, both human and animal. If each community were to begin by taking care of its own, they could then care for others.

3. One time, I broke down a fence with a runaway car, and I had to face my neighbor to tell him. It was quite an event.

4. I wish that I had finished college when I was young. I really love learning. I got busy with life and plans changed. I cannot help but wonder how different things might be if I had finished college. It isn’t a regret, but more of a “What if…?”.

Friendly Fill-ins: Week 102

I hope this week finds you safe and sound. It has been a really crazy month for weather. We had two ice storms this week. The first one came over Sunday into Monday. It brought three inches of ice and snow. It also brought us Stormie.

I believe that things happen for reasons. I do not need to know why to do the right thing. God added her to my plate. He never gives me more than I can handle. We will make sure she gets what she needs, is loved, and given a good chance at life.

Chloe Jo has pretty good days and not-so-good days. Thank you to all who are praying for her. She has lost a lot of weight already; getting her to eat is a challenge. She is still Chloe Jo, in every other way. She loves life, just really hates medicine.

We are looking forward to the wonders of Spring and beyond. We wish you all the best, too. Have a wonderful weekend filled with love and joy.

Here are my completed fill-ins for this week:

1. New journals are bittersweet. I look forward to using them but am always afraid I will somehow ruin it. I do not rant or rave in my journals, but I do sort out feelings, situations, and events. I never want to put negative energy there. I want to make sure to only put truth there, but with purpose. I must always choose my words wisely. “By writing, I learn how to write”.

by writing you will learn how to write

2. I love to listen to music on the computer, while I write. My current vice is iHeartRadio. I have saved playlists for various moods. Most of my music is folk and folk-rock.

3. When I was a child, I loved to play Hopscotch. Growing up with the sidewalks of Chicago, this was a common game. I liked to make elaborate courts with coloured chalk. I would play it now, if there were someone to play with.

4. One kitten is more intense to raise, than a litter, believe. When there is more than one, they support each other. They entertain each other. They offer warmth and comfort to each other. They relate to each other. When there is a single kitten, it is so hard for them, especially the feral. Love leads the way, though. We just work harder.

Friendly Fill-ins: Week 101

We are happy you are here for another week of friendly sharing! As always, you can find the fill-ins here and at 15andmeowing.com each Thursday. On Fridays, we post the link for sharing. Please link your post as directed. You can answer in the comment if you need to. Try to visit other blogs, when you can.

We are reaching the halfway point in the A-Z Blog Challenge. Yea for hanging in there. I have so much on my plate right now, that it is more like spilled alphabet soup! However, I am keeping my sense of humour, in spite of the burns (of said soup). I also stand by the fact that what doesn’t kill me makes me stronger.

I need to mention the purple Sarcoidosis badge in my sidebar. April is Sarcoidosis Awareness Month. I have chronic Sarcoidosis, affecting my lymph system and lungs. Chronic Sarcoidosis is a difficult autoimmune disease that can affect any system, but almost always the lungs. Bernie Mac died from complications of Sarcoidosis. With Rheumatoid disease and Sarcoidosis, I get knocked down occasionally (like now). I have had both of these for twenty-five years or more. As the Japanese proverb teaches, fall down seven times, get up eight!

Whatever trials you are having, I hope you find strength and peace. Reach out to someone that you trust. We all have moments of weakness. It is part of the human condition. So, be there for someone else, too. There is love and strength in that, as well.

May you enjoy a wonderful weekend. Stay safe, happy, and healthy.

Here are my weekly completed fill-ins:

1. Living life keeps me extremely busy. It is meant to be lived, of course! But, I really am looking forward to things slowing down, even if it is just a little. But, I am also keeping a positive attitude no matter what!

-comin-or-goin
2. I believe that integrity is the secret to inner peace. I have found that being genuine and authentic to one’s beliefs, as well as sensitive to others, allows for a clear conscience. I take this to heart and make sure to keep it real, even when it may not be easy. And, it is not always easy. Namaste.

3. A friend is someone who allows you to be yourself, without question or judgment. They will appreciate you just as you are. I have been reminded recently just how important this is.

4. Right now, I am thankful for my friends, including all of my blog friends. Your kindness, prayers, and encouragement have been invaluable. I am very human. Life has been very busy, lately. But, friends are a key element in how one copes. Thank you. Group hug!

Friendly Fill-ins: Week 100

We are happy you are here for Week 100 of the Friendly Fill-Ins! As always, you can find the fill-ins here and at 15andmeowing.com each Thursday. On Fridays, we post the link for sharing. Please link your post as directed.

We are well into the A-Z Blogging Challenge, which is very time-consuming. I understand there is just so much time in one’s schedule. Please know that even when I do not have time to comment, I do read everyone’s blogs. It is hard to keep up with everything, but I do my best. FurKids always come first, and they have been keeping me busy.

Furkids Update: Chloe Jo is holding her own. She will have more tests next week to evaluate the big picture. Her will is strong, but her little body is not. Clyde tires easily but is like a bull in a china shop when he can be. He is still a kitten and is all boy. He will be playing full throttle, and suddenly just flop down to rest. He’s got this. And, we have his back. Maggie P. gets a little slower, and sleepier each day. Both, the mass in her throat and her heart condition are issues that won’t go away. But, she is content and doing pretty well to function pain-free. We are very careful to offer a quality of life over quantity of years for all of them. We will do whatever they need, as long as they want it. Love does that.

Please join us for Sparks on Monday! The link is open Monday through Friday. You can add your Sparks anytime. My heartfelt thanks to those who participate. You are all inspirations. I always read each one multiple times. I have truly needed the positive energy lately. Thank you. I value and take each one to heart. Namasté.

Have a wonderful weekend. Be happy and healthy. Take care of You.

Here are my completed fill-ins:

1. Music is one of my elements of relaxation. I use it before meditation and again afterward. In general, I have some form of music on almost all of the time. The critters all love music too. They tend to respond to different kinds and have favourite bands, too. More on that in the future!

jam

2. I journal to sort things out, rather than keep track of things. I have done it this way since I first began keeping a diary, at age eight. Some people use, “Dear Diary”. Mine was, “Dear God”. Now, it is just open writing, but I know God still reads it.

thinkin

3. I have a hard time communicating with people who question everything that is said. It builds walls, not bridges. No one should have to qualify, justify, or clarify every single thing that is said. Doing this does not forge bonds through understanding. It pushes people apart through mistrust.

CJ CATTITUDE

4. Faith is easy for me. I truly believe the grace of Faith is one of my gifts. As far back as I can remember, I have had a close relationship with God. I have not led a charmed life, by any means. But, I have never blamed Him. In fact, quite the opposite. He sustains me.
