Friendly Fill-ins: Week 101

We are happy you are here for another week of friendly sharing! As always, you can find the fill-ins here and at 15andmeowing.com each Thursday. On Fridays, we post the link for sharing. Please link your post as directed. You can answer in the comment if you need to. Try to visit other blogs, when you can.

We are reaching the halfway point in the A-Z Blog Challenge. Yea for hanging in there. I have so much on my plate right now, that it is more like spilled alphabet soup! However, I am keeping my sense of humour, in spite of the burns (of said soup). I also stand by the fact that what doesn’t kill me makes me stronger.

I need to mention the purple Sarcoidosis badge in my sidebar. April is Sarcoidosis Awareness Month. I have chronic Sarcoidosis, affecting my lymph system and lungs. Chronic Sarcoidosis is a difficult autoimmune disease that can affect any system, but almost always the lungs. Bernie Mac died from complications of Sarcoidosis. With Rheumatoid disease and Sarcoidosis, I get knocked down occasionally (like now). I have had both of these for twenty-five years or more. As the Japanese proverb teaches, fall down seven times, get up eight!

Whatever trials you are having, I hope you find strength and peace. Reach out to someone that you trust. We all have moments of weakness. It is part of the human condition. So, be there for someone else, too. There is love and strength in that, as well.

May you enjoy a wonderful weekend. Stay safe, happy, and healthy.

Here are my weekly completed fill-ins:

1. Living life keeps me extremely busy. It is meant to be lived, of course! But, I really am looking forward to things slowing down, even if it is just a little. But, I am also keeping a positive attitude no matter what!

-comin-or-goin
2. I believe that integrity is the secret to inner peace. I have found that being genuine and authentic to one’s beliefs, as well as sensitive to others, allows for a clear conscience. I take this to heart and make sure to keep it real, even when it may not be easy. And, it is not always easy. Namaste.

3. A friend is someone who allows you to be yourself, without question or judgment. They will appreciate you just as you are. I have been reminded recently just how important this is.

4. Right now, I am thankful for my friends, including all of my blog friends. Your kindness, prayers, and encouragement have been invaluable. I am very human. Life has been very busy, lately. But, friends are a key element in how one copes. Thank you. Group hug!

Friendly Fill-ins: Week 100

We are happy you are here for Week 100 of the Friendly Fill-Ins! As always, you can find the fill-ins here and at 15andmeowing.com each Thursday. On Fridays, we post the link for sharing. Please link your post as directed.

We are well into the A-Z Blogging Challenge, which is very time-consuming. I understand there is just so much time in one’s schedule. Please know that even when I do not have time to comment, I do read everyone’s blogs. It is hard to keep up with everything, but I do my best. FurKids always come first, and they have been keeping me busy.

Furkids Update: Chloe Jo is holding her own. She will have more tests next week to evaluate the big picture. Her will is strong, but her little body is not. Clyde tires easily but is like a bull in a china shop when he can be. He is still a kitten and is all boy. He will be playing full throttle, and suddenly just flop down to rest. He’s got this. And, we have his back. Maggie P. gets a little slower, and sleepier each day. Both, the mass in her throat and her heart condition are issues that won’t go away. But, she is content and doing pretty well to function pain-free. We are very careful to offer a quality of life over quantity of years for all of them. We will do whatever they need, as long as they want it. Love does that.

Please join us for Sparks on Monday! The link is open Monday through Friday. You can add your Sparks anytime. My heartfelt thanks to those who participate. You are all inspirations. I always read each one multiple times. I have truly needed the positive energy lately. Thank you. I value and take each one to heart. Namasté.

Have a wonderful weekend. Be happy and healthy. Take care of You.

Here are my completed fill-ins:

1. Music is one of my elements of relaxation. I use it before meditation and again afterward. In general, I have some form of music on almost all of the time. The critters all love music too. They tend to respond to different kinds and have favourite bands, too. More on that in the future!

jam

2. I journal to sort things out, rather than keep track of things. I have done it this way since I first began keeping a diary, at age eight. Some people use, “Dear Diary”. Mine was, “Dear God”. Now, it is just open writing, but I know God still reads it.

thinkin

3. I have a hard time communicating with people who question everything that is said. It builds walls, not bridges. No one should have to qualify, justify, or clarify every single thing that is said. Doing this does not forge bonds through understanding. It pushes people apart through mistrust.

CJ CATTITUDE

4. Faith is easy for me. I truly believe the grace of Faith is one of my gifts. As far back as I can remember, I have had a close relationship with God. I have not led a charmed life, by any means. But, I have never blamed Him. In fact, quite the opposite. He sustains me.

Friendly Fill-ins: Week 99

We are happy you are here for another week of friendly sharing! As always, you can find the fill-ins here and at 15andmeowing.com each Thursday. On Fridays, we post the link for sharing. Please link your post as directed. You can answer in the comments if you need to. Try to visit other blogs, if possible.

The last couple of weeks have been pretty rough. Chloe Jo is struggling with this latest set of issues. She lost a considerable amount of weight because she did not want to eat. We seem to have finally got her going on some foods that the vet has recommended. Chloe Jo has always been a good eater. So, for her not to eat, that is a serious red flag. She has a follow-up appointment in a few days. Thank you for all of your prayers for her, and those for me, too.

Whether you are participating in the A-Z Blogging Challenge or just reading it in your Feed, may you enjoy it! Those who do it put a lot of work into it. It is fun to see what others share each day. You can always learn something new, be inspired, and find out more about each blogger.

Happy Easter to those who celebrate. Alleluia. This is the most important Christian holiday, fulfilling Biblical prophecies. We also wish a Pesach Sameach (Happy Passover) to those who observe this very important Jewish holiday.

Have a wonderful weekend. Stay safe, happy, and healthy.

Here are my completed fill-ins:

1. For Easter, I like to go to the very earliest Mass. I love the story of Mary finding the tomb empty. I can only imagine how she felt to witness that miracle. It is still very exciting. This painting is a favourite of mine. It looks like Chloe Jo; waiting.

2. My favorite Easter treat is watching Godspell. This is my favourite musical and has been since it first played in 1970. Based on the Gospel of Matthew, the original musical was produced to bring the Message of Christ to contemporary society. To make it relevant, they presented the story of Christ in a way that youth could relate to. For those reasons, I think God approved. Later versions are not as pure or as true as the original.

3. Lately, the song “Day by Day” is stuck in my head. As humans, we seek meaning and purpose in life. We find it when we seek God with a true heart of hope and faith.

4. The A-Z Blogging Challenge starts on Sunday, April 1st. It is most definitely a challenge. I am always humbled and impressed at the creative ways others present their A-Z list. I am always pleased to be able to complete it!

Friendly Fill-ins: Week 98

We are happy you are here for another week of friendly sharing! As always, you can find the fill-ins here and at 15andmeowing.com each Thursday. On Fridays, we post the link for sharing. Please link your post as directed. You can answer in the comments if you need to. Remember to visit other blogs. There is no rush, and it is worthwhile.

I did not visit much this week, but hope to read more this coming week. I read blogs, but just never had the thoughts to comment. Please understand. I spent a lot of time at the vet or just sitting, caring for a very sick little BabyCat.

You may have read about Chloe Jo’s Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. She is struggling quite a bit right now. As always, her health history complicates things. Her bloodwork is way off what it should be. Her kidneys are not stable. Her intestines are very compromised, especially her transverse colon. If she was otherwise healthy, this latest diagnosis (Gastrointestinal Lymphoma) might be more manageable. But, with her entire system so fragile, it is very difficult for her. She has an excellent vet team who loves her as much as she loves them. We will all do whatever is best for Chloe Jo, and she will let us know what that is. Right now, we are working on keeping fluids up and regaining an appetite. Time will tell if the chemo works for her.

We honestly appreciate all of the prayers, support, and understanding. Sometimes, when it rains, it pours. I thank every one of you who have put up their umbrella to help shelter Chloe Jo from this storm. There are no words to adequately express how meaningful this is to me. Chloe Jo is my squeaky wheel. She is special, perhaps because she needs so much.

Have a wonderful first-weekend-of-Spring doing what you love. I will see you soon!

1. I am the proverbial “black sheep” in my family. Considering all of the water under the bridge, and the many moons that have passed over it, I am okay. Yes, I was different than the rest of that flock, but sometimes different is good. Perspective is everything, I believe.

tiedyed

2. I have two siblings. Life can be complicated. You can be raised in the same house, but be very different from your siblings. The paths out usually vary, too. Sometimes, in order to keep yourself, you have to let go of someone else. This is especially true when they were not holding on to you.

3. I am looking forward to seeing John Prine in concert this Spring. It is a privilege to be able to see and hear this master storyteller live and in person. If you are not familiar with him, check out Angel from MontgomeryHello in ThereParadise, and other classics on YouTube. In the 2017 A-Z, we referred to John Prine and his connection to our area with his song, Lake Marie.

4. The first sign of Spring this year was the initial stirrings of wildlife. Seeing the baby skunks and beavers, the return of the Sandhill Crane, Robins, Red-winged Blackbirds, Swans, Pelicans, and many others has been encouraging. I believe Mother Nature is the best weather forecaster.
